Jesus is our Mediator and Couselor

     When I was growing up, when I wanted something from my father, I went to my mother to ask him for me.
      Jesus is the perfect mediator. (1 Timothy 2:5)  He is part of the Trinity, so even though He is interceding for us with God the Father, He is also divine. He is also human so He knows what we are going through and what we want. We can go to Jesus directly.
      Unlike mankind not wanting to be asked for anything, Jesus says to ask (Matthew 7:7). He gives examples why we do not need to worry about the answers we get. (Matthew 7:9-11)
      Jesus is not only our Mediator, but our Counsellor (Isaiah 9:6). So we can say "I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel." (Psalms 16:7)
